HK (D3 Part i) - Food & Snapshoot around WongKok & Central

After a tiring Hong Kong Disneyland and late supper on the day before, we decided to have a relax plan for Day 3 of our trip. Here we go, we start our great day with a nice and cheap breakfast...

This is a small shop located at MRT Yau Ma Tei A2 exit. You can see this shop at your right after you step out from station. It is a small shop selling all sort of local HK typical breakfast, like chee cheong fun 猪肠粉, che zhai mee 车仔面, glutinuous rice with soya milk 豆浆粘饭, shark fin bowl 碗仔翅, porridge 艇仔粥 and many more. They even have breakfast menu set for you to choose from which really worth your money. If i am not mistaken, HKD 29 or 39 already can get fried noodle + chee cheong fun combo or che zhai mee + porridge combo.

Shark Fin Bowl 碗仔翅
Of course no real shark fin in this but it taste quite nice.
Remember to add in vinegar as they do not add in for you!

Che Zhai Mee 车仔面
It is a plain noodle with soup and we are given few options of side dish to add in
as per mention in the menu thus we choose double sausage & Mui Choy
plus tomato sauce. Althought it looks weird but it actually taste quite good.

Porridge with century egg and pork meat 皮蛋瘦肉粥
It has generous quantity of century egg in this bowl which is
~My Favourite~! Yummy!

Next, we took HK MRT to reach Central Station. We paid a visit around and have some window shopping.

Having my 'Yogurt Cereal' at ~PRET BOWL~ while he is concentrating on his magazine.

Cheese bun that i bought it somewhere.

Chinese style brown sugar brownies 黄糖糕.

At Hong Kong Garden.

We are so hungry as we have not taken any lunch yet although it is already near to 4pm. Thus we try our luck to have some dim sum at here:

莲香楼 Lin Heung Tea House
Address:中环威灵軘街 160-164 (Same row with Yung Kee Restaurant)
Operating hour: Monday until Sunday, 6:00-23:00
Expenses: HKD 50-100

Anyway, our luck is not that good as their dim sum are sold out just one minutes before we step into their restaurant.

As we two were damn hungry that time, so we decided to order one plate of rice and a bowl of mee suah with roast meat. We were shouting 'Whao!' when the food are served to our table. It come with a huge portion!

Char Siew & Roast Pork rice
The portion of rice is so huge and no doubtit can serve 2 persons in a row.
Having a big portion of Char Siew and Roast Pork as well.
We were wonder whether we can finish off this plate.

Take a closer look of their roast pork.
Pork skin is very crunchy with thin layer of fat and thick layer of meat.
Do you realise this roast pork come with bone?
My first time to have such nice and delicious roast pork in my life!

Another closer shoot.
Roast Duck and Roast Goose with Mee Suah Soup
Again, we have roast goose in HK!

Damn full after meal! We manage to finish all of the food in order not to have any wastage. Thus we continue with our walk around the street to have a better digestion after the big portion meal.

Looks familiar with the backgroud?

Anohter side of Hong Kong at my back.

Central-Mid Levels Escalator 中環至半山自動扶梯 at my back.
This is the world's longest outdoor covered escalator (800 meter)!
It is only takes us about 20 minutes to reach to the top and
there are many bars, restaurants and shops along this escalator.
Please be remind that this escalator runs daily with schedule timetable:
downhill from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and uphill from 10:30am to midnight.

And get ourselves a bowl of Chinese Herbal Jelly 龟苓膏 from Hoi Tin Tong 海天堂.

Where is our dinner? Coming up soon!
